For the first time in our 11 year history we are able to show you a list of the exhibitors at FLUKE before the event happens! We're very excited about this and we think the lineup of artists you see below is pretty danged awesome.
If you are an exhibitor and we got your website wrong, or you prefer to be listed under a different name than the one listed below or if you just don't see your name listed at all, please contact Robert at secondperiod@gmail.com and he'll get it fixed for you. We've tried to find the right website for all of you through some pretty intense Google-stalking, but sometimes we came up empty cyber-handed.

FLUKE 2012 Press release.
As we do every year, we're posting the press release here in hopes that you will see it an pass the link along to any media organizations that you may think would like to see it. Thanks, as always, for doing out work for us!
For Immediate Release
ELEVENTH ANNUAL FLUKE MINI-COMICS FESTIVAL – APRIL 21st, 2012
This year’s FLUKE Mini-Comics Festival, sponsored by Bizarro Wuxtry, Top Shelf Productions, Flagpole Magazine, SEQAlab, and Inch-High Button Guy, will take place on Saturday, April 21st at The 40 Watt Club, 285 West Washington Street, Athens GA from 11:00 AM until 6 PM. Admission for the public is $2.00 per person.
EVENT SPECS
For the first time in its eleven-year history, FLUKE offered pre-registration for exhibitor table spaces. These spaces are now sold out. It is possible that a very small number of additional exhibition spaces will be made available. Those wishing to obtain one of these potential spaces should watch for an announcement on FLUKE’s website (www.flukeathens.com).
FLUKE’S SPONSORS
With gratitude, we acknowledge our sponsors:
Bizarro Wuxtry (http://www.wuxtryrecords.com/bizarro.html)
Athens’ downtown comics shop boasts a staggering array of alternative comics and zines, as well as a friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff. There are also lots of toys, models, cards, clothes and vintage delights to enjoy as well. Peter Bagge once featured the store in an issue of “HATE,” and has referred to it as “the funkiest business establishment I have ever seen.”
Top Shelf Productions (www.topshelfcomix.com)
Since 1997, Top Shelf Productions has produced a wide range of handsomely designed craft comics. Based in Marietta, Ga. with offices across the country, their catalog includes work by Craig Thompson, Andy Runton, James Kochalka, Bob Callahan and Spain – plus many more.
Flagpole Magazine (www.flagpole.com)
Athens’ alternative weekly is a much loved and used source of information on local music, film, art, food and politics, all delivered with a real sense of ownership and advocacy for our fair city.
Inch-High Button Guy (inchhighbuttonguy@gmail.com)
Inch-High Button Guy produces the finest original designs in buttons for any occasion, available in a variety of sizes and styles (even glow-in-the-dark). The buttons are available at Bizarro Wuxtry and at special events.
SEQAlab (www.seqalab.com)
SEQAlab is a podcast produced by the students and faculty of The Sequential Art Department at the Savannah College of Art and Design. It features interviews with comics creators of all types as well as discussions of the technical aspects of making your own comics. Over 170 episode of the podcast can be found on iTunes or on their website.
FLUKE’s STATEMENT OF PURPOSE/ MISSION
FLUKE is a mini-comic festival that has been organized by Athens-area comic artists, underground publishers and their enthusiasts since 2002. Conceived as a venue for the discussion and exchange of timely ideas related to mini-comics, zines, and other independent publications, FLUKE is not a large comic convention or merchandising-saturated extravaganza. This isn't to say we don't like our share of stuff—'cause we do. However, we have kept the organization of the event as simple as possible to ensure that it remains focused on work and ideas rather than merchandising.

ONE MONTH AWAY!
Hey guys!
FLUKE 2012 is one month away!
There are currently no available tables, but a few people have asked about last-minute exhibitor registration. It looks like a very small number of spaces will open up in the next couple of weeks. If you want to find out about them, please email Robert at secondperiod@gmail.com.
We're really excited about this year's show, and we hope to see you at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, GA on the 21st of April!
We'll be posting a full list of exhibitors soon, so you can get your CGC graded copies of their work out of you humidity-controlled vault and have them sign it.
We've sent our press release out to lots of people already, but if you can think of a media organization that might like to know about FLUKE, let us know! That's right, you can do our work for us! Thanks!

FLUKE 2012. Let's do this thing!
Okay.
You guys (well, some of you, anyway) have been asking for this for several years, so we're going to try it out.
Here it is:
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
PRE-REGISTRATION FOR FLUKE 2012 IS NOW OPEN!
There are some things you need to know:
It costs more this year. It will cost you $15 for a space if you use this pre-registration. The reason for this is the fees charged by the online registration site. There may be a better and less expensive way to do this, and we're going to continue to look for one, but for 2012, the pre-registration is going to cost you $15. We're still committed to making FLUKE cost as little money as possible.
A pre-registration gets you the same thing buying a table space got you in the past. When you pre-register, you are registering for one half of a six foot table. We're going to let the pre-registrants in before we open the doors to the public, so there's going to be time for you to find a table near the people you want to be near. We promise.
A pre-registration gets one person in. If you're bringing someone with you who did not pre-register, he or she will have to pay the general admission fee, which is still going to be $2.00. We'll let that person in at the earlier time. Don't worry.
We are opening 60 (sixty) spaces for pre-registration. We generally have about 75. If there are any spaces left after the Sponsors are in place and everyone pre-registers, we'll let you know. There's a good possibility that there may be some "walk-up" table spaces available on the day of the show. Keep watching the FLUKE website and Twitter for more information.
Now, here is the registration link. TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!!

An announcement! Maybe TWO OF THEM!
Here is a flyer for OktOktöberFLUKEberFLUKE. Patrick did it. He is awesome. You should print this out and put it everywhere.
Oh, and is the OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT of the date for April 2012's show on there? Yep. It sure is.
PLEASE NOTICE THIS: The registration website address on that flyer is NOT A TYPO. We had to be all fancy and put an o with an umlaut over it in the name of our event (we did it because Motörhead did it. Plus, OktöberFLUKE just looks cool. I mean, look at it...). ANYWAY, apparently the internet just can't handle our ö so when we set up with regonline.com, they just left our ö out of the address. It's gonna be okay. You don't even have to type it in. Look: just click on these words to be magically transported to the registration website!
